 Hello lovelies, sorry I've been away for so long. 

I've spent the week sick, on the couch in my p.j's, watching all the chick flicks I could fit in before my boyfriend got home from work.

But alas, I am finally feeling better, and just in time for the weekend.

I have some seriously exciting plans to lay out by the pool all weekend.

Style Challenge: Lady LIke

 

This weeks style challenge is “lady like”.

Although I am wearing a dark color palette of black and brown, I feel that the silhouette of the collared shirt (gifted by Jovonna) and my DIY bell skirt exude lady like (oh and lets not ignore all the glam gold!)

In regards to the DIY bell skirt, (Love right??) the original was all brown and hit right at my knees, so I cut about 10 inches off and added a 6” black leather trim instead, creating a very chic color block look. I am more than pleased with the outcome!

Hello Lovlies,

This top was recently gifted to me by the lovely people of Shop AKIRA. 

And it may just be my new favorite thing! 

I have already worn this top a few times and it really shows the versatily it offers to your waredrobe. 

It can be worn causually, with shorts an booties, or dressy, with pants and wedges.

And let's not ignore that open back detail. Meow! is all I have to say.

I've been so busy with work, and keeping up with what's going on at NYFW that I've totally been slacking here.

But can we all just agree that it's been pretty spectacular.

Falling for fall....

I woke up this morning to clouds and sprinkles. OH fall, It's so close, yet these 90 degree days are telling me it's still so far. 

As I do my daily reading, it couldn't be more clear that the fashion world is ready for the change of weather, and wardrobe, too!. 

I've already given up on my summer waredrobe and have started investing in my fall sweater section. Lots of rich colors, pea green, burnt orange, olives...oh I am just getting so excited.

This look is the closest I could get to fall with out over heating. 

The hues make is fall, the simplicity and materials make it summer.

What are you guys looking forward to the most about the changing seasons?

Safari Hunt

Flats: La Mode (similar style here) Top: Forever21, Skirt: 1010, Bag; H&M

 I've lived in Orange County the majority of my life and have never been the the Santa Ana Zoo, which is mere miles for my home. So, my boyfriend and I decided to check this one off our local to-do list.

You can probably see how the days plans inspired look.  I threw on my leopard print flats (I thought I would see one and he would consider me and ally...there were none).

I wore my olive cargo skirt and beige top.

 I felt very safari-esque with a touch of feminine and edge. 

Anyway, after visiting, I've realized we weren't missing out on much. There were a good selection of monkeys, a few wanna be flamingos, a very sadly caged bald eagle, and a senile billy goat. Oh and no feline species at all. 

Despite a few minor disappointments I really enjoyed my day.
