And so it goes…on the eve of the new year I celebrated 7900 feet above sea level.
My New Year’s weekend was spent in Mammoth, and I anticipated a winter wonderland including singing birds, friendly snowmen, and snow made from an angel.
I was slightly disappointed when I saw streams of melting snow, leaving only little patches of snow (ice) left.
I attempted to snowboard regardless of the many sorrowful reviews of the bad conditions. As somewhat of a beginner, I didn’t know what I was getting into with the icy slopes, but after a few runs (and a few falls) I figured I’d spend the rest of weekend cozy in the cabin to prevent any more bruises!
Regardless of the snow-less winter wonderland, Mammoth was beautiful, I had an amazing time and I can’t wait to go back!
