This weekend my sister, Brittney, and I took a trip down to Santa Monica Pier for a little adventure. The weather wasn't great, I mean, the whole pier was practically in one big cloud. 

Thankfully for one big coat, extra layers, and boots I was well prepared. Except my bangs, oh my poor bangs! They did not react well. 

Long story short, it was a successful adventure, and the the sacrafice of my bangs was well worth it.

Lace & Tweed

These pictures were taken over the weekend when the weather was warm and beautiful. It was the first time I have worn a skirt with out some leg-wear in months. I probably shouldn't have been so eager as these stems of mine haven't seen the sun in even longer, and next time I'll opt for some sort of tan first.  Regardless, I am happy to have seized that opportunity as today, and supposedly the whole next week, will be one long down pour. Which, I'm not going to lie, really pleases me.

 I love warm weather but sometimes an usual real winter is good too.

Belled Beauty

This weekend was the perfect combination of eventful and relaxing.

I indulged in some fruity cocktails on Saturday for a friend’s birthday, inevitably leading me into a very lazy Sunday.

I did some shopping (I've totally failed this month’s resolution), which is when I bought this blouse. I couldn't wait to wear it…so I didn't  I also brought out the flares, which were a little dusty in the dark depths of my closet. I  really liked the two belled silhouettes together.  

And thank goodness for some serious So Cal weather, I was able to skip the layers and show of my pale porcelain skin.

Well, I suck. 

I thought with the holidays being over I'd have more time, but it all ended so quickly and I wasn't quite prepared for the real world...again.

It's left me with a lackadaisical outlook on my priorities. School, work, getting dressed, and doing my hair (note fancy head gear) are at the bottom. Watching an array of you tube videos and 'The Real Housewives' are at the top. Oh guilty pleasures, why must I enjoy you so much!

But it's definitely mid January, so today, I'll bleach the hell out of my black roots, and get back to being proactive. 

This will also involve posting more, sans beanies.

 Last night I dreamed of Louboutins and New York Fashion Week. 

 

In fact, my entire dream was based off great shoe finds. Which I can only assume is the side effect of this months resolution. No shopping.

You see, I separated 12 resolutions into one month increments. I guess I thought I had too many to choose from, or that doing something for one month seemed a lot less intimidating than a year.

However; only one week into the first month and I'm already finding it more difficult that I anticipated (especially with all those January sales I'm missing out on).

 Clearly, there is some serious shopping addiction I should seek help for.

 Well, we'll see how I feel at the end of the month.

Next month: No soda.
